{"id":368,"date":"2017-05-13T10:01:45","date_gmt":"2017-05-13T09:01:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/regis-schlagdenhauffen.eu\/?p=368"},"modified":"2017-05-13T10:01:45","modified_gmt":"2017-05-13T09:01:45","slug":"approaching-sexuality-in-prisons-article","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/regis-schlagdenhauffen.eu\/?p=368","title":{"rendered":"Approaching Sexuality in Prisons &#8211; Article"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The idea to devote an issue of <em>Champ P\u00e9nal<\/em>\/<em>Penal Field <\/em>to the theme of sexuality in prisons followed the conference entitled \u00ab\u00a0Sexuality and Confinement in Europe<a id=\"bodyftn1\" class=\"footnotecall\" href=\"https:\/\/champpenal.revues.org\/9499#ftn1\">1<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb, that took place at the University of Lille\u00a01 on December 11 and 12, 2014. The conference was organized by the two coordinators of this issue whose respective works are situated at the intersections of studies on confinement and sexuality. A dozen participants presented findings that are often undervalued because of the absence of space for their dissemination and discussion. It is as though raising the issue of sexuality in these contexts means consigning oneself to the extreme margins, including in the academic world.
